Carlos Yoong

Expert in Noise and Vibration Control

About

Carlos is a noise and vibration control expert with several years of experience both in research and industrial projects.

He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and is passionate about empowering engineers to solve problems for the heavy industry: mining, oil&gas, manufacturing, chemical, etc.

Carlos is currently a senior engineer in the Vibration, Dynamics and Noise team at Wood. He has previously managed a newly opened office for Soft dB, a Canadian acoustical consulting firm, which grew exponentially in sales and staff. Prior to that interesting challenge, he spent various years researching on nonlinear vibration.

He has studied and worked in Ecuador, Spain, France and Canada. Carlos is currently based in Toronto and loves hiking and jogging. He speaks Spanish, English and French.
